Want a clean home?
Who doesn't? But who wants to spend time cleaning it?
Certainly NOT me!
That's why I've spent years uncovering
shortcuts
that allow me to have a
clean looking
home in
minimal time
with
minimal effort.
I can clean a full bathroom, that's filthy dirty in
under 15 minutes!
I call myself "The Lazy Mom" but no one would ever
guess it because to the outside world, my house looks spic and span.
Like everything else about running my home, I looked
at what successful businesses do and tailored that to cleaning my
house.
So first things first...
A successful company would NEVER ask an employee to
perform a job without giving them the proper tools and without
making those tools convenient.
The Tools:
General Tips:
-
Clean floors very last. When you're working on other surfaces
it is almost
guaranteed that dirt will fall off of them and onto the
floor. If you make it
a habit to clean the floors last, you
won't have to do it twice (or three
times or four times...)
-
Clean top to bottom.
-
Vacuum instead of scrub as much as possible.
-
Put as much in the dishwasher as you can.
-
Let cleaning agents do most of
the work. Spray and walk away.
Return 15-30 minutes
later to scrub dirt off much more quickly and efficiently.
Roomba's work. If you can afford one, it will make a world of
difference.
Create a cleaning schedule and stick to it. For example, clean
the family
room on Friday, the kitchen on Sunday, the master bath on
Saturday, etc.
Once your cleaning schedule has become
habitual, you won't even have to
think about it anymore and having a
clean home will just become routine.
